What happens after a workers’ compensation case is closed?

If there is inaction on a case, the insurance company or treating doctor may close the case internally, but it is not closed by the Division of Workers’ Compensation.

If either the Insurance Company or the doctor says the case is closed, ask them to reopen it if you need medical treatment.
