matthew mahoney
Matthew earned his Bachelor of Science in Applied Mathematics in Engineering from the University of Colorado in 2001. He earned his Juris Doctorate in 2007 from Northern Illinois University School of Law.
After graduating law school, Matt joined the firm of McNamee & Mahoney where worked as a trial lawyer, representing injured plaintiffs in the Chicago area until 2010, when he moved to Texas and began his practice there.
Before becoming an attorney at age 37, Mr. Mahoney had the benefit of working in a wide variety of fields. Matt graduated from high school in 1987 and over the next eight years worked as a limestone cutter, a house painter, an oil and gas research technician, and a legal process server.
In 1995 Mr. Mahoney began attending college at night while working as a truck driver during the day as a member of the Teamster’s Union. He earned his engineering degree in 2001. After that he worked for the National Institute of Standards and Technology and as a high school mathematics teacher until he ultimately decided to attend law school. He continues to focus his practice on personal injury litigation.
